Aurora Management College

Hyderabad is the capital of the state Andhra Pradesh, India. It also goes by its Sobriquet City of Pearls and is popularly known to be the city of Nawabs. As of 2010 it is stated to be the sixth most populous city and sixth-most populous urban agglomeration in India. Hyderabad was founded by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah in the year 1591 on the banks of Musi. Today the city covers an area of approximately 650 km². The twin cities commonly named as Hyderabad and Secunderabad come under the ambit of a single municipal unit, The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. And in this city of pearls there is factory of producing diamonds for future and this is second to none and called Aurora Management College.

About the college

In the year 1993, the college further added fresh faculties of biological sciences and commerce. The student strength suddenly mounted to 600 that year. There was no looking back anymore for the college. By 1998, the Degree College alone had more than 2000 students studying in various branches. In 1995, the Aurora educational society established a Post Graduate College, which started two programmes namely, Masters in Computer Applications and Masters in Business Administration.

In 1998 Aurora marched into two new heights when it established its engineering college in a sprawling campus of 600 acres. It had been very aggressive foray into the business of education. Four other engineering colleges were established apart from two more post graduate colleges. Today, Aurora happens to be one of the largest educational groups in the state of Andhra Pradesh with more than 400 faculty and staff and having over 7500 students studying in all.

Besides there is a Broadband Internet Facility providing to students access to the latest developments and trends the world over. The students are exposed to advanced computer technologies with the latest of computer systems on different platforms and acquire expertise in different areas of Computer applications.
Every student is given enough time to work on a computer for regular practical exercises.

Class Rooms

Classrooms fulfil all standard requirements, which are necessary for a good academic environment. The rooms are spacious, brightly lit and offer a relaxed and easy ambience what exactly needed for learning purpose.

Library
AURORA P G College has a well-furnished library with a fine collection of the latest Books, Journals, and Research work published papers etc and an excellent study room for the students. The library is undergoing expansion taking into consideration the need of more books and journals for postgraduate as well as graduate level studies. The library also has Internet and E-mail facilities which are allowed to the users on nominal charges for better utilization of available reading materials. Library is open to all through-out the year except on public holidays. Library timings during the working days is from 10-00 AM to 4-30 PM.
